Admission Procedure – UG Programme

General Information

DJAD Under Graduate programme (4 years) is offered in Communication Design and Industrial Design streams.

Admission to Under Graduate Programmes are offered on the basis of the scores obtained in the Entrance Examination conducted by DJ Academy of Design in the selected metropolitan cities across the country followed by a personal interview conducted at the campus in Coimbatore.

Scores obtained in the Entrance Examination conducted by NID, Ahmedabad will also be considered for admission at DJAD.

The Entrance Examinations will test the design aptitude of applicants with the objective of measuring their skills in Sketching, Visualisation, Creativity, Colour and Mechanical Comprehension.

The students who qualify for personal interview must present a portfolio of their work to the panel of selection jury/judge. Portfolio could include any creative work done by the student (such as drawings, paintings, photographs, films/Videos made by the student, craft work, project, models, written work such as articles, stories, essays, poems, etc.)

Call for new admissions are announced through DJAD website, social media and other media during the month of October. Applications can be downloaded from the DJAD website.

2. Entrance test for UG – 6th May 2017

Eligibility Criteria

For Under Graduate Programme 10 + 2*
Age upto 23 years

*Students passed / appearing for 10+2 in any stream from any syllabus, including open schooling are eligible to apply.
